Nutrition Restaurant: Reviews & Ratings
Casual authentic Chinese restaurant with a large menu, including authentic dishes such as tripe and liver. I like some dishes more than others. My favorites are: soy milk (no burnt taste), Sichuan chili fish (like Chongqing chicken but with fish), home-style fish, and baked pumpkin with salted egg yolk. Service feels rushed when it's busy but they're always friendly.
We are a first gen Chinese family of six originally from Beijing / Tianjin area. We are picky eaters when it comes to Chinese cuisine. We have dined in and gotten take-away from Nutrition Restaurant at least total 30 times in last few years. However, we think the taste of their typical entree has fallen at least a full star in 2025 (did they lose their best chef?). Some of the entrees are so different from what they served a few years ago we think they changed their recipes or new chef? We got about $200 worth of entrees for take-away just a couple weeks ago. Everyone in our family after tasting them found flavor had changed to bland and we spontaneously looked at one another and exclaimed "What happened to their food? It lacks flavor. Did they change chefs?"
We loved their food! Super comforting and reminded me of the nutrition house that was closed in Milpitas. Will be here again :)
Northeastern style food is authentic here. Staple food also delicious. Good place for family cooking food.
One of the few genuinely welcoming restaurants I visit regularly where the service has not diminished in the years after the pandemic lockdowns. Service is as prompt as they can be, they serve tea without charging for it-- an Oriental etiquette of welcoming customers that's largely been lost to capitalism these days -- and as long as you treat them fairly, they'll treat you fairly. Come on a weekday when things are slower and you might receive a free appetizer of steamed peanuts as well. For dining alone, the dumplings are an excellent choice. Dip in sauce with vinegar and chili oil. For dining with others, the fish dishes and stir fried rice options are also excellent.
12/11/2022. Order via electronic pad. Price is slightly higher than expected for flavor.
Really good food at reasonable prices. I've been here a few times and have always enjoyed it. Place can get crowded during busy times, and may feel a little cramped because tables are a bit close.
Met up with friends to share dinner. We ordered dumplings, fried rice, kung pao chicken, pork belly wrap. It was quite tasty, all the items complemented each other. People were surprised by the flavors and not oily it was. I might try chow mein or items with porridge next time. Service is nice. You order through an ipad. Tea is provided, water on request.
